Quality is extremely important to TasteTech and we are very pleased to announce that we have just completed this year's British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety audit and retained our Grade A status.

The audit this year also covered our Organic certification with the Soil Association, which was also passed with flying colours.

The Global Standard for Food Safety was first developed in 1998 by the British Retail Consortium to enable suppliers of retail branded food products to be audited by third party Certification Bodies against a single consistent standard.

Today this remit has expanded and suppliers to manufacturers of retails branded products are also encouraged to be accredited under the same standard.  The aim of the standard is to give customers confidence in products supplied in terms of safety, quality & legality.

It also means that suppliers have credibility and consistently produce safe, quality & legal products and can continually improve systems and show competence in what they do.

Following last year’s successful BRC audit our Quality Management System was completely overhauled to ensure that it would continue to be as robust as it possibly could be.  Additional and more exacting procedures were introduced in areas such as -

§   Internal auditing

§   Product control

§   Continual improvement & process control

This also strengthened our system with regards to our ISO status too.

By, once again, achieving Global Standard for Food Safety (Issue 5, BRC) grade A, it means our customers can have continued confidence in TasteTech and that we have globally recognised credibility in our field of expertise.

TasteTech Managing Director Janis Sinton commented “A big thank you goes to our Technical Team, Jane Green & Gary Gray, who not only managed compliance to the standard, but do a great job in keeping the rest of the TT team on their toes!”

Janis continued “Credit is also due to Jason Ticktum and his production team who work to the relevant systems & procedures to ensure that we are able to meet this incredibly high standard.”

Everyone at TasteTech understands how important it is that we continue to obtain such good results and we all work very hard to achieve this.

Our aim is to continue this trend and to continually improve our systems and procedures.
